| Biography |
In Own Words: After being a competitive junior curler in southern Ontario, I moved to Montreal in 1986 to attend McGill University. At the age of 20, I was fortunate enough to play lead on a men's team that won the province and represented Quebec in the 1988 Brier. Looking back, I was probably too young to appreciate it.
I moved to the United States in 1991 (I became a U.S. citizen in 2000) and until this season, life and location kept me away from curling. In August 2006, however, I moved to New Jersey and resumed curling at a high level again. In 2012, my team, skipped by Heath McCormick, captured the United States Men's National Championship, going undefeated through the playdowns and the national championship.
In June of 2005, I started a podcast called The Curling Show at www.thecurlingshow.com. It features interviews with the sport's top athletes and the people who shape the game. I also co-wrote Fit to Curl: A Sport-Specific Guide to Training with John Morris of Team Martin â the book has sold 5,000 copies since it was published in 2009.
