Dunstone with Braeden Moskowy at third, Catlin Schneider and Dustin Kidby on the front end take home the $20,078CDN first place cheque along with 27.930 world ranking points, while Klima receives $13,385CDN and 20.482 world ranking points for their second place finish.
Glen Muirhead (Perth, Scotland) wins the bronze medal game, defeating Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, Russia) 5-4 taking home $6,693CDN along with 15.827 world ranking points
Starting with hammer, Dunstone blanked the first end, then got on the board scoring 1 in the second end. Klima responded in the third end scoring 2 to take the lead after which Dunstone scored a single in the fourth end, then forced Klima to a single in the fifth end. Dunstone scored 2 in the sixth end, then forced Klima to a single in the seventh end to hold the hammer coming home where they scored a single for the 5-4 win.
Starting with hammer in the bronze medal game, Muirhead scored 1 in the first end, then forced Glukhov to a single in the second end. Muirhead scored 2 in the third end, then held Glukhov to a single in the fourth end. Muirhead scored 2 more in the fifth end to extend their lead to three, then forced Glukhov to a single in the sixth end. After a blank end in the seventh end, Muirhead held Glukhov to a single point in the 8th end for the 5-4 win.
In the semifinals, Dunstone defeated Glukhov 6-4 and Klima stole the 8th end to win 6-5 over Muirhead.
Dunstone went 8-0 in the 9 team round-robin qualifying round. In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Glukhov 5-3, then won against Mingjie Yuan (Beijing, China) 8-2, against Muirhead 6-1 and against Andrew Stopera (Chaska, USA) 8-7. Dunstone won against Klima 8-6, won against Yangsong Ji (Beijing, China) 6-1, against Jan Hess (Zug, Switzerland) 6-4, and Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, Sweden) 8-4 in their final qualifying round match to finish the round-robin undefeated.
